Terms & Conditions.

These terms apply whenever you use this website or place an order with JIWhiskey, the whiskey business founded by Dougie Joyce. By using the site or placing an order, you agree to these terms. Please read them alongside our Privacy Policy and Delivery & Returns page.

Age restriction

Our products contain alcohol and are intended for adults aged 18 and over only. You confirm you are 18 or over by entering this site and by placing an order. All deliveries require a signature from someone aged 18 or over, and ID may be requested on delivery to verify this. We reserve the right to refuse or cancel an order where we reasonably believe the purchaser or intended recipient is under 18.

Products and pricing

We make every effort to describe our products accurately, but slight variations in appearance, labelling or packaging may occur between what's shown on the site and what arrives. Prices are shown in GBP (£) and include applicable UK taxes unless stated otherwise. We reserve the right to change prices and product availability at any time. Some products may be listed as preorder items; in that case, dispatch timing will be communicated separately and may differ from our standard delivery times.

If we discover a pricing or listing error on the site, we'll contact you before processing any order affected by it, and you'll have the choice to proceed at the correct price or cancel.

Orders and payment

Placing an order through the site is an offer by you to buy that product, which we're free to accept or decline. A contract is formed once we've confirmed your order. Payment is processed securely through Square at the point of order; we do not see or store your full card details.

Delivery

We currently ship throughout the UK and Ireland, with international shipping available to selected destinations on request. Full details are on our Delivery & Returns page. Delivery timescales are estimates, not guarantees, and we're not liable for delays caused by circumstances outside our reasonable control.

Cancellations and returns

If you're a consumer ordering from within the UK, you generally have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations, provided the product is unused, unopened and in its original condition, given the age-restricted and perishable nature of alcohol. If an order arrives damaged, faulty, or incorrect, contact us promptly via the contact page so we can arrange a replacement, refund or other resolution. Full details are on our Delivery & Returns page. This doesn't affect your other statutory rights as a consumer.

Responsible drinking

We're committed to promoting responsible drinking. Please enjoy our products responsibly and be aware of the UK Chief Medical Officers' low-risk drinking guidelines. For information and support, visit drinkaware.co.uk.

Trade and bulk orders

We welcome trade, wholesale and bulk enquiries from bars, restaurants, retailers and distributors. Terms, minimum order quantities and pricing for trade orders are agreed separately and directly with us, and these website terms apply to consumer orders placed through the site unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Website use

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes, and not in any way that could damage, disable or impair it, or interfere with anyone else's use of it. All content on this site, including text, images, logos and the JIWhiskey name and branding, is our property or used with permission, and may not be copied or reused without our consent.

Liability

We provide this website and its content on an "as is" basis and don't guarantee it will always be available, uninterrupted or error-free. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for anything that can't legally be excluded or limited, such as death or personal injury caused by our negligence, or fraud. Beyond that, we're not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. Continued use of the site after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms.
